What Can You Expect from Your Internship?

Your internship will be an 11-week immersion into Conagra Brands and our Information Technology(IT) organization. Project types:

Analytics -  The analytics internship will focus on utilizing our Big Data stack to develop products and solutions to help enrich business processes with greater insights than traditional operational reporting is providing.  Throughout the internship, you will be paired with a Conagra mentor who will help connect you to the Advanced Analytics Community. They will also help you to understand cutting edge technology you will be using and provide you with clarity on key goals. Over the course of the summer, you will be tasked with sourcing and leveraging marketing and promotional data in our data lake to mine insights on promotional effectiveness utilizing Python and presenting findings in an interactive Power BI dashboard. 

Web Development - As a member of the Development team you will you will play a key role in developing, deploying and supporting Conagra’s critical business applications and participate in a team that provides innovative strategies and initiatives to support growth and operational efficiencies. Throughout your internship you will implement development capabilities, such as continuous integration builds and continuous deployment releases, and you will be tasked with adding functionality to our development pipelines, such as test automation or static code analysis. Whether it's finding new and innovative ways to solve complex business problems, or using the latest technologies to continue to refine and scale our current ecosystem, you will be exposed to a variety of critical business processes and applications. Areas of responsibility may include mobile application design and development, researching and implementing the latest innovations including robotics, artificial intelligence, voice and VR technologies, and internet of things.  

ETS - Participate in a team that provides innovative strategies and initiatives to support growth and operational efficiencies. Areas of responsibility may include helpdesk and operations, end user computing, networking, and performing system configurations. To enhance your overall understanding of our company, we will provide opportunities to network with peers and leaders to gain an appreciation for the breadth of career paths available at Conagra Brands.   

Business Relationship Management - The business relationship management internship will focus on working with our precision marketing teams on the implementation of their new CRM (customer relationship management) system. Throughout the internship, you will be working cross functionally with our various marketing teams in an Agile environment to learn their business processes, gather requirements, perform system configurations, and implement cutting edge technology. Participate in a team that provides innovative strategies and initiatives to support growth and operational efficiencies. To enhance your overall understanding of our company, we will provide opportunities to network with peers and leaders to gain an appreciation for the breadth of career paths available at Conagra Brands.   

  • Location: Omaha, NE or Chicago, IL (locations vary by project assignment)
  • Paid Internship
  • Interns will work 40 hours a week May 21-August 3, 2018

Qualified candidates:

  • Are currently enrolled in a degree program with at least 1 semester remaining after your internship
  • Are graduating in Fall 2018 or Spring 2019.
  • Are pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or similar majors best suited for this position
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA required
  • Strong interest in technology and enjoys solving problems with analytical solutions
  • R or Python- Classes focused on prepping, combining and mining data.  Statistics and a working knowledge of data science applications a plus.
  • Experience writing SQL.  Exposure to Big Data technologies like Hadoop, Hive, Spark, etc… a plus.
  • Dashboard and report development experience
  • High learning agility
