International Project Leader ( Global/ Canada)

Job Summary

Provide Operations support and effective project management for key business growth, brand maintenance, savings and productivity improvement initiatives. Primary Supply Chain resource for commercial Global Markets team ensures effective use of resources and communication of priorities across Supply Chain functions and cross-functional counterparts.

Position Responsibilities

  • Operations and Supply Chain lead contact to the business team.
  • End to end project management delivery from initiative ideation to in market.
  • Project management leadership of new product offering, packaging and graphic only commercialization projects, high complexity CCRs (savings projects) among others.  Coordinate and support cost build-up, CIR development, material set-up/readiness, scale-up efforts and launch/post launch metrics.
  • Supports achievement of net sales, profit and Supply Chain cost/KPI for assigned product categories and plants.
  • Provide effective portfolio/program management process. Ensure proper application of project management tools, stage/gate models and prioritization.
  • Work closely with domestic operations and Global Markets business team to coordinate changes being driven by US  domestic teams that impacts Global Markets existing portfolio and growth/CCR projects Support/ Lead Global Markets Gate 2-4 reviews
  • Participate in Gate 1 meetings
  • Lead monthly project reviews with Extended Leadership Team (ELT)
  • Accolade Super user for Global Markets team, ensure Accolade system accuracy for assigned projects.
  • Provide regular status reporting, milestone progress on the overall projects.
  • Supports system set up, packaging development and tracking of packaging run outs/ transitions related to assigned projects.
  • Other Supply Chain or business initiative support as assigned.
  • Participate in Global Markets Extended Leadership Team meetings
  • Internal Contacts: Plants, Logistics, S&OP, Enterprise/division purchasing, R&D, Technology/Q.A., Engineering, Finance, Business teams – all levels in organization
  • External Contacts: Material suppliers, Co-manufacturers, equipment vendors.

Position Qualifications

  • B.S. degree required, preferably in Engineering, Business or Supply Chain.
  • 3 to 5 years of previous experience in project management, manufacturing, engineering and/or other Supply Chain functions.
  • Exposure to multiple Supply Chain and other business disciplines (Marketing, Sales, Purchasing, Manufacturing, S&OP, Logistics, R&D, etc.) in previous positions or project work preferred.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing unit operations.
  • The position requires strong project and influence management skills to lead cross-functional project teams.
  • Exposure to new product commercialization and start-up procedures;
  • Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently;
  • Strong problem solving aptitude;
  • Influence management skills with the ability to manage cross-functional resources without direct reporting relationships;
  • Excellent communication skills - both formal and informal with the ability to communicate within all levels of the organization.
  • Possess continuous improvement mindset.
  • Thorough understanding of Supply Chain cost structure. Able to interpret cost build-up, trends and financial statements.
  • Highly collaborative leadership style with the ability to lead effectively and handle conflict in cross-functional integration role;
  • Exposure to Supply Chain IT transaction systems and information flow.

  • Occasional travel may be required
