Key Account Manager, Foodservice Sales

This is a remote field position based out of a home office.

The Key Account Manager is responsible for maximizing sales to Non-Commercial Healthcare, College & University, and K-12 foodservice operators in the North Central Region by effectively penetrating account responsibilities, and collaborating with the sales agency partner in coordinating sales activities at the customer account level.

Position Responsibilities

o   Conduct market analysis to determine customer needs, quantify opportunity, and propose financials for sales accounts.

o   Manage development activities and coordinate Hunting Case Volume and profit objectives.

o   Implementation of K-12 overarching channel strategy with Category Management. Execute School Bid and Commodity strategy.

o   Develop, foster, and maintain strong customer relationships while ensuring proper communication of vital information.

o   Deliver sales presentations to key customers in coordination with sales agency for sales accounts and ensures adequate sales results.

o   Achieve volume targets on new business. Communicate and track Hunting Tracker form to Management.

Position Qualifications

o   BA/BS degree in Business, Marketing, or related field required.

o   Minimum of two years progressive sales experience, to include account management.

o   Effectively manage across multiple non-commercial segments that supports time balance of 40% Healthcare, 36% C&U, and 24% K-12 segment coverage.

o   Must demonstrate sales experience in the management of multiple product categories, and customers. Demonstrate in-depth knowledge in sales, trade and marketing concepts and methods.

o   Must have a strong base in development and maintenance of customer relations and promotions management.

o   Must be capable of effectively interpreting and using multiple information sources to develop strategy and tactics.

o   Proficient in Microsoft Office tools and applications. (i.e. Salesforce, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

o   Must be able to establish and maintain strong internal and external working relationships.

o   Exceptional organizational, communication, and time management skills.

o Travel up to 50% of the time.
