Procurement Specialist, MRO

In-depth knowledge of Procurement systems and processes.  Strong Organizational skills.  Ability to manage multiple projects.  Must be self-motivated and capable of working independently. 

  • Utilize quantitative skills to analyze, validate, manipulate, and manage large amounts of data (e.g. category spend, project and decision support, trend analysis) across categories
  • Prepare RFQ/RFP materials, support negotiations and represent the company on external sourcing events, and execute contracts
  • Manage smaller MRO category strategies, as determined by the MRO leadership team
  • Work with cross-functional reps to develop detailed requirement documents, award scenarios, and contract documents (MSA, Statement of Work, Ordering Documents, etc.)
  • Develop and track supplier transition plans
  • Administer, audit, and recommend approval of ordering process to ensure adherence to terms and conditions of warranty, long term service agreements, and MRO policies
  • Communicate with external suppliers and internal functions (e.g. plant ops) to manage supplier performance and relationships
  • Maintain up-to-date invoice data to support cost metrics and continuous improvement in delivery, cost, quality, and customer satisfaction, with a primary focus on productivity
  • Query invoice database to identify high cost drivers and high usage parts
  • Execute category audits to monitor and report on performance to the savings/budget commitments
  • Document and update MRO performance metrics, charts, spreadsheets, and presentations for internal reporting
  • Participate in training of new employees, both within and outside of the department as requested
  • Experience in MRO Procurement preferred
  • SAP experience
  • Strong data mining and analysis experience
  • Good leadership, project management, and organizational skills with the ability to work-cross functionally
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Self-directed, resulted and goal oriented
  • Experience with MS Office tools, specifically Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Bachelor’s Degree
