Position Responsibilities

  • This position involves communication and coordination for projects and initiatives with the Operations, Engineering, Continuous Improvement, Research and Development, Safety/Health & Environmental departments, and Third Party Engineering providers.  Interaction and communication ranges from the Plant Manager VP level across the enterprise, through operators and helpers on the lines.
  • This role is responsible for supporting plant phase progression through the methodology and conducts plant phase assessments.
  • Assesses capability and transfers technical knowledge to develop plant early management personnel and corporate start up managers.
  • Provides support and direction to project teams and plant teams to ensure successful initiative delivery and consistent tool use.
  • Integrate and align project startups by evaluating the startup team’s plan, resources, and workflows to ensure successful startup.  This may include providing project specific leadership and support on site as required.
  • Knowledge and application of technical statistical tools including Weibull analysis, induced failure testing, S-shape curve, OEE improvement, binomial and others.

Qualifications/ Education/Experience/Skills

  • BS Degree in Engineering or equivalent with 4-6 years of related capital Project Engineering, Continuous Improvement, or Operations (Plant) experience dealing with capital installations and start up is expected. 
  • Strong background in Operations and Engineering and demonstrated leader of project startup teams launching innovative technologies and or products within a food production facility.
  • The candidate must possess strong leadership, organizational and communication skills along with diplomacy skills that will promote good relations with all facets of salaried and hourly employees.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
